Every box's serial number and every shelf's expiry date is traceable
Error tolerance is low in a medical warehouse. Minutes matter in a recall, the cold chain must not break, and the record requested in an audit must come out immediately. HaROS WMS records every movement at serial/lot and QR-code level.
Error tolerance is low in a medical warehouse
In pharmaceutical and medical product logistics, traceability and record integrity matter as much as speed. HaROS WMS makes these six needs part of daily operations.
Serial/lot traceability
Every box and pallet enters by QR code. You see which serial is on which shelf, in which order and on which vehicle in a single query. The serial number is tracked in the system, not on paper.
QR code · serial/lotExpiry date management
Products approaching expiry are prioritized automatically during picking (FEFO — the one nearest to expiry goes out first); expired products are separated and routed to the quarantine area.
FEFO · quarantineProducts requiring a cold chain
For products that must be stored within a specific temperature range, zone definitions and temperature records are kept; when a break in the chain is suspected, the relevant serial/lot is quickly identified.
temperature logRecall scenario
When a recall is issued for a serial/lot, which shipments and stores that batch went to and on what date is reported. The scope becomes clear.
fast scope identificationAudit-ready records
Every movement in the warehouse is recorded with a timestamp and per user; the traceability output requested during an audit is ready in a reportable format, with no separate filing process needed.
time-stamped recordAuthorization & access control
Critical operations such as entry to the quarantine area, serial cancellation and stock correction are tied to role-based authorization; who did what and when can always be answered.
role-based authorizationSerial/lot query on one screen
The warehouse team and operations manager see the full movement history of a serial number from the same screen: entry date, storage zone, expiry status and exit record. At the moment of a recall, this screen brings scope determination time down to minutes.
- Instant movement query by serial/lot number
- Color-coded alert by expiry status — near, critical, expired
- Cold chain zone and temperature history in one click
- Recall scope report — shipment and recipient list

WMS at the center; TMS and Planning support it
The center of gravity of medical warehouse operations is WMS; TMS comes in for shipping traceability, and Planning for anticipating demand swings.
WMS — Warehouse Management
Serial/lot-based storage, FEFO picking, cold chain zones and quarantine management are core capabilities of HaROS WMS. All scenarios on this page run on top of them.
TMS — Transportation Management
Which serial/lot went with which vehicle to which recipient is kept in TMS's shipping record; at the moment of a recall, the shipping scope is verified from here.
Planning
Seasonal demand swings and critical stock levels are anticipated with the Planning module; clearing stock approaching expiry and reorder timing are managed from here.

Frequently asked questions
Does HaROS provide a compliance certificate for İTS/ÜTS?
No, HaROS does not offer a regulatory certificate. It records every movement at serial/lot and QR-code level and shares these records with your corporate systems. If you work with İTS, ÜTS or similar systems, the required data infrastructure is ready. We plan the integration scope together according to your system.
How does scope identification speed up in a recall scenario?
When you query a serial/lot number, you see which warehouse that batch entered, which shelf it stayed on and which shipments it left with on one screen. No file scanning is needed. The exact time varies by warehouse size and integration depth.
Is additional hardware needed for cold chain tracking?
HaROS WMS works integrated with your existing temperature sensors or cold room monitoring system. Sensor hardware is not within HaROS's scope. The system matches incoming temperature data to the serial/lot record and raises an alert when there is a deviation.
Are products nearing or past expiry separated automatically?
Yes. Products are moved up in picking priority according to the expiry thresholds you set (FEFO). You can define rules that route expired or soon-to-expire products to quarantine automatically. Disposal or return follows your own procedure.
Which operations does authorization and access control cover?
You can tie critical operations such as quarantine entry and exit, serial cancellation, stock correction and manual expiry changes to role-based authorization. Every operation is recorded with user and timestamp. Details of the access structure are on the Security page.
Keep your warehouse records audit-ready
Serial/lot traceability is not built in a crisis. It comes from records kept accurately every day.
